I consider my creations of "personal jewelry" pieces that become unique because they are enriched over time with new shades in contact with the skin of the wearer, polishing with wearing

Study of forms, using traditional goldsmith techniques and use of natural materials

These are the three foundations that led to the production of  the handmade jewelry Elena Camilla Bertellotti. Once designed, the original model is made in metal, for construction of plate and wire or wax, as taught by the goldsmith techniques.

After Obtained the model, that is formed for one or more silicone molds (rubbers) depending on the complexity of the jewel to be carried out and how many pieces consists of.

At this point, the casting, the same ancient technique he used Benvenuto Cellini in 1500. The pieces come out first in wax and then  in metal, before being welded, finished, decorated with stones or other. This will faithfully recreated the original model, which has always remained as a bishop and sample.

With this technique you can play with the combinations of metals and their contrasting colors so elegant, mistaking the various components. But it is especially thanks oxide, a process which occurs naturally, and with the patinas induced by heat, ranging from green to black to red and blue, which can create very special effects, compared to the natural color.

The oxidation caused by copper, the main ingredient of bronze, as well as this may stain the skin of the wearer (who does not remember the copper bracelets healing that left one green mold on his arm?)the intensity of the stain depends on the skin's pH, the heat, but it is not toxic, just wash your hands and it goes away, a good method to protect yourself is to put some clear nail polish inside the ring's stem to isolate the skin, and then just a little lemon juice to make the bronze shiny again.

But this is the charm of the natural material. Each piece of jewelry becomes so, due to the change of the oxide and craftsmanship, a personal item and unique, with different shades and tones of brown, which also vary depending on the frequency with which it is worn. The longer you wear it, it becomes more polished, "more alive" is transformed to become your own jewel.
